The Indiana Commissioner for Higher Education, Teresa Lubbersannounced today that the state’s March 10th financial aid filing deadline would be extended to April 15th in response to recent issues with a federal data retrieval tool (DRT) that complicated the process for families attempting to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

It’s HIGHLY recommended that applicants for Miss Gay Evansville’s ARG/Ivy Tech Scholarship file a FAFSA to increase your chances of a robust financial aid package.

The fastest and easiest way to file the FAFSA is online. To complete the FAFSA, you will need your (and, for dependents, possibly your parents):

  • Social Security Number
  • 2015 federal income tax returns, W-2s and other records of money earned
  • FSA ID to sign electronically

In Evansville, you can get assistance filing FAFSA at the Express Enrollment Center at Ivy Tech-Southwest (3501 N. First Ave. 47710)).

Learn More Indiana provides FAFSA-filing assistance to Hoosiers by phone (888-528-4719), emailTwitter and Facebook.
